Sunset In The Fall

To Autumn
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.
John Keats (1819)

Violet Lady. Millefiori Beads

Millefiori is known as a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative patterns on glassware. Translated from Italian, the word Millefiori means Thousand Flowers because the cross-cut slices, combined together, look like a field of blooming flowers.

This technique is one of the most popular polymer clay techniques used by polymer clay artists over the all world.
To make Millefiori beads, at first you need to create polymer clay canes. The canes are created by pressing sheets and rods of colors together to create images. Then with a sliced cane you can cover a desired surface.

Here I've used four different canes - flowers and butterfly.

The Bracelet and Earrings Set is made of Millefiori beads, handmade by me; plenty of Swarovski Crystals - rondelles and bicones; Czech glass hearts, Czech Satin glass rounds, pressed glass flowers and Mauve Freshwater Pearls. All metal parts are Copper.

Enjoy!

Serenade. Goodbye Summer!

The Summer is going to meet us for the next year. It's a little sad for me, as always to say goodbye...
This year was quite different - I've spent more than one month in my fatherland, participating in my sister's marriage, met so many darling friends and enjoyed all what the homeland proposed to me:)

The Serenade Necklace is my gift for the outgoing Summer. Soon you could find it at my Etsy Shop.

Ruth. Summer Floral Necklace

At airport, when I arrived to my homeland, my dearest friend met me with a fantastic bouquet of summer flowers. So... I couldn't resist to perpetuate them in a wearable piece of art :)

The flowers I've made of polymer clay, attached some freshwater pearls and copper chain with matching toggle clasp.

Enjoy the Summer!

Thirsty Land

Have you ever feel like a thirsty land?
I do... Emotionally burned out. Such a terrible feeling! In the moments like that I feel absolutely dry... All of my Juice of Life is gone, me =  hard-baked mud... I'm thirsty. Thirsty of Life and everything the Life can give.
But, the period of dryness doesn't continue long. Just a short while and God gives us His helpful hand, drops of water we need so much is coming...

The Thirsty Land is younger sister of Arrábida Bracelet I created last year.
It's not so often I make my jewelry pieces similar, but the combination of Copper and Turquoise don't let me be quiet :) So... the new Bracelet is done!
She's made of Copper Flowers, Copper beads and charms, glass Pearl beads and plenty of Swarovsky crystals and Organza fabric ribbon.

Tell me, please, what a kind of Water of Life you need at first when you're thirsty?

Latvia and Amber Roses

Sometimes I think I NEED more two pairs of hands and time at least 48 hours per day. Too much work, too much ideas and too short time to realize everything I'd like... What about you? Do you sometimes have a similar feeling? :)

I've just returned from short trip to one of the most beautiful countries in the world - Latvia. Actually it's the most beautiful country for me, because I was born there and there are my roots, my family and my dearest old friends... Welcome to My Country!

I've created Necklace called Amber Roses. Amber, 'cause the color reminds me Amber from the Baltic Sea, place where I grown up and spent almost all my adult life.

The Charm Necklace is made of stunning dark amber color acrylic rose beads, plenty of Swarovskies in different brown/amber, black and amethyst tones, black Lucite bell flowers, beautiful amber tone lampwork glass beads, Czech faceted glass beads, Picasso round beads, tiny engraved copper bicone beads, large filigree copper heart locket pendant and small heart charms. All charms are wired up on copper chain. I've attached a black organza ribbon, so you'd regulate desired length.

The Necklace and matching Earrings now is available on my ETSY SHOP

Have a wonderful and blessed day!
