Violet Lady. Millefiori Beads

Millefiori is known as a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative patterns on glassware. Translated from Italian, the word Millefiori means Thousand Flowers because the cross-cut slices, combined together, look like a field of blooming flowers.

This technique is one of the most popular polymer clay techniques used by polymer clay artists over the all world.
To make Millefiori beads, at first you need to create polymer clay canes. The canes are created by pressing sheets and rods of colors together to create images. Then with a sliced cane you can cover a desired surface.

Here I've used four different canes - flowers and butterfly.

The Bracelet and Earrings Set is made of Millefiori beads, handmade by me; plenty of Swarovski Crystals - rondelles and bicones; Czech glass hearts, Czech Satin glass rounds, pressed glass flowers and Mauve Freshwater Pearls. All metal parts are Copper.

Enjoy!
