MATERIALS AND TOOLS
Polymer Clay, your favorite brand (I use Fimo 38 Sapphire Blue)
Craft Knife
Needle
Piece of a cocktail straw
Mica Powder
Oven
PROCESS
1. Knead clay between your fingers to soften it and make a pea sized ball
TIP
Berries are not in the same size, so if you like more realistic view, you can make them in different size
2. Take a small amount of mica powder on your fingertip
TIP
Sparkle white/light eye shadows can be used as well
3. Roll the ball on your palm to cover it completely
4. Take a piece of the cocktail straw and make a circle on the ball
5. In the middle of the circle make a hole.
Do not run trough straight, slowly roll the needle out
TIP
Don’t squeeze the bead firmly to avoid distortion
6. Take a craft knife and make small cuts around the center of the hole
7. It will look like this
8. If desired, repeat previous steps and make some purple and some green Blueberries
TIP
Use soft pastels or even eye shadows to attach some color on them
9. Put the beads into the OVEN
Be sure about the right temperature of your oven. The built-in thermometers mostly do not show the right temperature
BAKE FOR 30 min or according the manufacturer’s instructions
After curing let the beads cool down completely!
OPTIONAL: glaze the beads with polymer clay friendly varnish
